The tour came to a close with Doug Carpenter, QuantumSphere Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer, explaining how the company’s mission is to manufacture the highest quality nanometals and alloys available and leverage their use to provide disruptive solutions in commercial applications.
The company hosted the students in order to provide a special opportunity for them to learn about the developmental science and practical applications of QSI-Nano metals and alloys in important areas such as fuel cells and hydrogen generation. QuantumSphere has built a close relationship with UCI, which is home to the Integrated Nanosystems Research Facility and the National Fuel Cell Research Center, as well as other major academic and research institutions.
