The MetAir™ Ranger Portable Power System is a lightweight “personal power plant” or portable box of energy which houses a proprietary multi-cell assembly of the modular, highly scalable prismatic zinc-air battery cells.

Unlike portable gas generators or standard lead acid rechargeable batteries, the MetAir™ Ranger Portable Power System is a maintenance free primary (disposable) battery with a long shelf life and requires no liquid fuel or external energy sources to stay charged.

At under 28 pounds, this MetAir™ Ranger is self-contained and ready to grab and go. One MetAir™ Ranger Portable Power System is roughly half the weight of a single deep cycle (heavy duty) marine lead acid battery yet provides roughly EIGHT times the equivalent energy per kilogram – an extremely high energy-to-weight ratio. In fact, MetAir™ power generation products offer the highest energy density of any commercially available primary battery, and at the lowest cost per kilowatt hour.

The MetAir™ Ranger offers an AC inverter with two outlets and a USB charger to provide a convenient and reliable source of on-demand power to run or charge emergency communications equipment and portable consumer electronic devices.
